Our client’s Insight & Analysis team are looking for a talented and ambitious Power BI Developer/Analyst.  This person will support the Insight & Analysis team, with a focus on helping to accelerate their move to Power BI. 

Responsibilities

Power BI Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective and visually appealing Power BI solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security in Power BI reports.

Data Transformation:

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI for analysis and reporting.
  • Optimize and streamline data transformation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Provide training and support to team members on Power BI best practices and usage.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to empower users to create and modify their own dashboards.

Dashboard Maintenance:

  • Monitor and maintain existing Power BI dashboards, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data sources, queries, and visualizations.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business users, to understand data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Power BI solutions into existing systems and processes.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of the latest Power BI features, updates, and industry best practices.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to existing Power BI solutions to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer/Analyst, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous Power BI projects.
  • Proficient in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and creating visually appealing dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail in troubleshooting and optimizing Power BI solutions.
