IT Coordinator

Our client is looking for an IT Coordinator to join their team based in Bristol. This person will be responsible for day-to-day operations within IT for the South West region as well as IT projects as part of a team based in various UK locations.

There will be travel to other sites (mainly Exeter) as part of the role. Car allowance and mileage provided.

We’re looking for someone who is particularly strong in Azure and VMWare as well as Office 365 administration. You will be the sole IT person at this site, and will need to be comfortable with dealing with day to day support including password resets as well as high level technical work.

Key responsibilities:

• Triage incoming support requests passed from the helpdesk 1st line agents.

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support to helpdesk agents to solve support tickets.

• Ensure timely communication of planned IT maintenance and outages between IT and end- users.

• Develop, execute, and document process improvements based on internal trends and best practices.

• Maintain documentation of internal processes, system license and upgrade schedules, and vendor contact information.

• Develop end-user process documentation and act as a technical resource for other departments in their documentation efforts with regards to technology and IT related processes.

• Monitor system logs and alerts to ensure any events requiring attention actioned.

• Manage oversee physical hardware platform and virtual platform updates and patching

• Coordinate IT team meetings, managing agendas, and notes while ensuring follow up items are assigned and communicated appropriately.

• Perform routine CRM administrative tasks as needed dbase management.

• Support 3rd party IT vendors when required (web site, CRM, ERP, MPLS).

• Facilitate end user IT training across all our IT technology platforms (with some exceptions)

• Project management as required for new business systems hardware and software deployments etc.

• Knowledge transfer to the 1st line agents, develop their skill set and train as required

• Regional site visits to facilitate with projects and help local IT administrators with problematic issues

• IT Technical skills

Key Competencies:

• Ability to manage, coach and train and develop others in the IT team

• Understanding of complex business information systems and platforms

• Ability to prioritise and adapt to demands of the business

• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and senior management team

• Ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines

• Project management knowledge and experience

• The following would be advantageous: Prince 2, ITIL, VMWare, Office 365 Admin, Azure Admin.

• Flexible approach to working

• Excellent organisation skills

• Full UK driving licence.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

To £45,000 + car allowance £6k.
