Business Analyst / Project / Demand Manager / Systems Analyst

We have a brand-new and unique opportunity for a BA / PM / Demand Manager / Systems Analyst to work for our client in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. The ideal candidate will come from a BA / PM / Demand Manager / Systems Analyst background and will have some experience in a manufacturing environment.

As a BA / PM / Demand Manager / Systems Analyst you will talk to people in other areas of the business to develop forward-looking plans in specific project areas that will make a real difference to your colleagues, your customers, and the overall strategy. New projects will come up regularly (so you’ll never get bored!) and you’ll work with teams across the business to create workable solutions and project plans. You’ll focus on a number of projects at any one time, so it’s a combination of high-level BA / strategy / architecture / project management – and some hands-on work as required.

You’ll need a solid background in IT in order to understand the requirements of the projects, and you’ll get your hands dirty from time to time, but the main thing is for you to be comfortable taking the initiative, proactively building relationships with colleagues in other business areas so that you can get the appropriate teams in place for each project. It’s a large company but you’ll be joining a small elite department with links to many others – you’ll therefore be playing an important and visible role – one that will be immensely rewarding for the right person. You’ll learn something new every day.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Manufacturing, Finance and Aftermarket. As well as PMO, SAP, Infrastructure and Senior Leadership teams within IT.

Develop multi-year business capability roadmaps working with Enterprise Architecture

Maintain clear priorities for delivery from IT

For new projects capture business requirements, develop high level solutions and contribute to the development of robust business cases

Maintain creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends.

Ensure initiatives are set up for success and aligned with the corporate strategy.

As required, ensure the successful delivery of changes through project management of activities from concept to implementation.

Key Skills

Important skills and experience include but are not limited to:

Business Analysis skills including formal methods e.g. process flows, use cases etc

Experience of operating with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods

SAP environment experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.

This is a high profile role within a thriving business. This role is office-based in Uttoxeter. There is some travel to other sites but they are all fairly local and mileage will be paid for travel. So you will need a driving licence and your own transport. The package includes a generous contributory pension scheme, healthcare and flexible working around core hours.
