The Applications Software Tester will play a pivotal role within the software development team, ensuring that our products meet the high standards expected by our global customer base.
This is a hybrid role so it will involve 3 days per week at the Derby offices, and 2 days working from home.
Role Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and develop tests to fulfill those requirements.
- Write, maintain, and execute manual software tests to demonstrate compliance with acceptance criteria.
- Manage and upkeep test scripts to uphold a stable continuous integration test environment.
- Collaborate within the software team using agile methods, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Demonstrate self-management skills to address demands across multiple teams whenever necessary.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in software testing, preferably within an applications environment.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional and regression testing, as well as familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in software version control systems and project management systems such as Git, DevOps Azure.
- Exceptional listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
